My next stop in Thailand was Chiang Mai the second largest city in Thailand. It is also the most culturally and historically significant cities in northern Thailand. It is a very short one hour flight from Bangkok or a 10 hours bus ride. I loved the food, the people, the history and that fact that even though it was quote busy it paled in comparison to Bangkok.
The highlight of my trip to Chiang Mai was the visit to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, the city’s most famous temple, stands on Doi Suthep, a hill to the north-west of the city. The temple dates from 1383.
Chiang Mai is also known a center for DIGITAL NOMADS. Digital nomads use wireless internet, smartphones, Voice over IP, and cloud-based applications to work remotely wherever they live or travel.
Chiang Mai has very low rental prices and very good internet connectivity and speed compared to other cities in Thailand.
